Chief rabbi of South Africa

Warren is chief rabbi of South Africa and is believed to be the youngest chief rabbi in the world. He is married with three children.

He is a graduate of Unisa and has a PhD from Wits Law School. Warren is a member of the National Religious Leaders Forum, and he is part of a team producing a Bill of Morals, the document that would “officially and nationally be recognised as containing the common moral principles of the vast majority of South Africans. He is a popular author: with Dumani Mandela he co-authored African Soul Talk – when politics is not enough, and his Defending the Human Spirit – Jewish law’s vision for a moral society is hot off the press. He hosts a weekly radio programme called Chief Rabbi on Air.
