Schalk. Burger Jnr
Schalk, the Springbok and Stormers rugby player with the unmistakable shaggy blond hair, is one of the most recognisable players in world rugby, especially after scooping the coveted IRB Player of the Year award in 2004.
Schalk was born in Port Elizabeth in 1983, the son of a former Springbok, Schalk senior. The Stormers flank made his Springbok debut against Georgia in 2003 and since then has notched up a total of 25 caps.
Just 22 years old, Schalk is another player with a big future.
