CEO: Makalani Holdings
Vusi is one of the youngest CEOs on the JSE.
He heads up Makalani Holdings, a mezzanine financing company that provides funding for black economic empowerment transactions. Makalani was floated on the JSE in May 2005, raising R2,5-billion.
Vusi has a BSc (hons) in chemical engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to setting up Makalani, Vusi was at Investec Bank, where he headed public sector finance.
