Joey Rasdien’s stage persona is so quirky and absurd that you would never guess he once worked at a prominent consulting firm in high-level fund management.

Starting out on the stand-up comedy circuit as part of Whacked Management’s Comedy Underground, Rasdien has since been involved with the Pure Monate Show as well as various comedy collectives such as Munt Comedy, the Parker Leisure Comedy circuit and Nu Breed Comedy. Rasdien’s first lead role in a feature film was for Donovan Marsh’s acclaimed Dollars and White Pipes in 2005. He also starred in Running Riot with Bill Flynn and was lauded for his turn in John Barker’s short film, The Last Days of Anna van Storm. His latest film role was an hilarious appearance in Bunny Chow: Know Thyself, the highlight of which involved him unwittingly taking LSD.

Rasdien is one of the presenters of M-Net’s Laugh Out Loud and he will continue to hone his unique, highly physical comedy style on every available local and international platform.
