Former assistant editor of Soul Magazine Nano Mothibi-Gasenewe is the founder and managing director of Dukari, a black and female-owned business communications and content management consultancy that is regarded as one of the most promising young female-owned companies in South Africa. She is also the co-author of annual publications op ITCe companies in South Africa and Best Employers South Africa. Mothibi-Gasenewe has a journalism background, having worked and freelanced for media publications such as The Star, African Eye News Agency, City Press and Tribute magazine as a social, business and ICT journalist. During the same period, she was briefly involved in broadcasting, having initiated and co-produced a documentary called Sabela for SABC. Mothibi-Gasenewe completed her BA degree at the University of the Witwatersrand and, after a short stint as a climatology intern at the South African Weather Bureau, returned to Wits to pursue her honours in media studies.
