Dr Warren Goldstein is the chief rabbi of South Africa and is believed to be the youngest chief rabbi in the world. He has a BA LLB from Unisa and a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand law school. He has been admitted as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa and has published a number of legal academic articles. Goldstein is a member of the executive of the National ReligiousLeaders' Forum (NRLF). He co-authored African Soul Talk: When Politics is Not Enough (JacanaMedia) with Dumani Mandela, former president Nelson Mandela's grandson. The book comprises the published account of email correspondence between the authors as they build a common vision by two South Africans from very different backgrounds. In his inaugural address, Goldstein called for a Bill of Morals for South Africa. He iscurrently working with the NRLF and the Moral Regeneration Movement on this project to provide a document thatwould be recognised officially as containing the common moral principles of the vast majority of South Africans.
