Allon started out at his parents umbrella manufacturing factory, where at 22 he supervised 200 workers. Then his entrepreneurial spirit took over and he went solo. Being unemployed he asked a friend for a job, returning the kindness by successfully turning around the ailing business. A hot dog chain, The New York Sausage Factory, followed and multiplied. Next, the inevitable: Allon's own empire, Raizcorp. Contributing to both rural and urban development in South Africa, Raizcorp is a privately owned, self-funded business. To date Allon has been directly involved in more than 50 businesses and has his fingers in many more pies, including hosting radio and television shows. Studying towards a doctorate in innovation and entrepreneurship, he is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.
